GENERAL INFORMATION OF STEEL GARTING

1、Bearing bar - Load carrying bar made from slit sheet, extending in the direction of the grating span.

2、Bearing bar pitch - The distance center to center of the bearing bars.

3、Cross Bar - The connecting bars, made from twisted bar、round bar or flat bar, which extend across the bearing bars.

4、Cross bar pitch - The distance center to center of the cross bars.

5、Length - The maximum dimension of a grating panel, measured parallel to the bearing bars, & in the same direction as the bearing bars.

6、Width - The maximum dimension of a grating panel, measured perpendicular to the bearing bars, & in the same direction as the cross bars.

Remark: The width of grating in the table is calculated according to the thickness of bearing bar 5mm. When the thickness of bearing bar is 3mm,the related norminal width should subtract 2mm.

MATERIAL

1、Bearings bar &cross bar are made of Q235 which's in line with GB/T 700. Other materials can also be used according to customer.

2、Hot-rolled flat bar, hot-rolled strip or cold-rolled strip silt by slitting shears are available for bearing bar.

3、Tolerance for the size of hot- -rolled flat bar should be in accordance with the standard of YB/T4001.1-2019

4、Serrated bars are usually hot rolled flat bar with serration or puching the serration on hot rolled strip or cold-rolled strip，The serration pattern see picture 3，There are min 5 teeth within 100mm length.

5、The size of | section & cross sectional moment of inertia should be in accordance with the followingrequirements.

1、Bearing bar pitches may be 12.5,15,20,22, 23.85,25,30,30.16,30.3,32.5,34.3,35,35.3,40, 41,41.4,60mm.

2、Cross bar pitches may be 38,50,60,to 100mm, of which 50mm&100mm are recommended.

THE GENERAL TYPE OF H EAVY DUTY STEEL GRATING&SAFE LOAD

钢格板公差

1、The allowable deviation of length is +0-5 mm, while the allowable deviation of width is +5mm.

2、The deviation of diagonal: the deviation of diagonal caused by the grating tolerance should be eqaul or less than +5mm.

3、The non-perpendicularity of bearing bar is not allowed to be more than 10%of width of bearing bar.

4、Position deviation of cross bar -The cross bar surface should not surpass bearing bar surface 1mm;the beginning &end of cross bar should not surpass the end surfaces of two sides of grating 2mm.

5、The lean of cross bar & deviation of range interval: the lean between grating center & cross bar edge should be equal or less than 5mm. In addtion, the allowable deviation between the cross bars of both ends should come within +6mm.

6、Longitudinal bow: the deflection of longitudinal bow should be equal or less than 1/200 of grating length.

7、Transverse bow: the deflection of transverse bow (without end bar) should be less than 1/ 100 of grating width.

INSTALLATION OF STEEL GRATING

1、Using saddle clips will be much easier to install and uninstall without destroying the zinc coating.The weldings suitable for those places where there is no need to move or dismentaling,for instance,the flooring around the machines.

2、WELDING FIXING:A min 20mm length fillet weld(min 3mm height)should be applied on the frst bearing bar of steel grating corners.

3、Saddle clips are suitable for all kinds of steel gratings,composed of top saddle,bottom saddle and M8 bolt.

4、CLIP FIXING:One panel should use at least 4 sets of clips,with bigger span panels,every extra meter length should increase 2 clips.When order clips,please advise the qty and model you need.

Type A: composed of a top saddle a bottom saddle and M8 bolt.

Type B: composed of a top saddle a hook shaped bottom saddle and M8 bolt.

Type C: composed of a top saddle which can be welded to supporting structure and M8 bolt.。

Disc type clipittis composed of anall and a fxing plate.The steel structures by the powder actuated fastening todl,and then the steel gratng is fixed
by the disc tightening.

SURFACETR EATMENT

Regarding surface treatment， hot-dip galvaning，painting or using other anticorrosive coating are available.

PACKINGOFSTEEL GRATING

Finished gratings are packed with steel belt, and wood is usually used for matting, so that it's convenient to load. For black grating, flat bar is available for packing.

AREA CALCULATION

1、When drawings were not provided but the dimension rendered by customers，the area shall mean that the quantity of grating actually delivered multiplied by the sum of length and width, including openings and cutouts.

2、In case we offer drawings and design the layout sketch of grating for customers，the area should be calculated according to total external dimension in plans，including openings and cutouts.

3、Regarding special shaped gratings, the total area should be calculated based on all the pieces (length (L) times width (W) furnished, with no deduction made for cutouts.
